Dr. Nick’s Running Blog…. gone viral???
|Thank’s for all the new likes and followers who have joined into the discussion of running and injuries on Dr. Nick’s Running Blog over the past 2 days. I’m not exactly sure what has happened, but the site has generated and enormous amount of attention over the past 48 hours and I would like to thank everyone for reading. Dr. Nick’s Running Blog typically generates anywhere from 200-300 hits a day. In the last 48 hours it has received more then 33,000 hits!! Most likely this is due to my support over at Facebook. If you are on FB reading this now, head over to my blog and subscribe to receive updates on posts (don’y worry there is no soliciting involved and I won’t bother you!! You’re email is secure!!). If you haven’t liked my Facebook site, please do as that helps to spread the posts to others who aren’t following my blog.
For those of you who are new to my blog, I am a podiatrist specializing in foot and ankle surgery as well as a long distance runner. The focus of Dr. Nick’s Running Blog is to discuss all aspects of running ranging from improving fixing an injury to improving your race times. Some of the topics are nutrition, fueling during a marathon, training patterns, recovering from an injury, as well as running gear reviews. Being a podiatrist, I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to test running shoes and provide my reviews of them. My focus is on minimalist shoes but I will review other shoes and they are not limited to running. Without going into a detailed discussion on my viewpoint of shoes and orthotics, my belief is that running patterns, form, and varying intensity is far superior to reducing and fixing running injuries then shoes alone.
Thank you Dr. Nick for your great site and helpful education and information! Your excellence and optimism are contagious!
Thanks Dr. Ray!!
I came here from Facebook via Aligned and Well. She has more than 12,000 likes and her followers really care about the type of information in your running shoes injury and postural alignment post. I suspect that accounts for several thousands of your new visitor.
And now that I’m aware of your blog, I’ll be visiting regularly.
Thanks Eric!
Love your blog and your office! Except, no offense, I hope I never have to visit again! 🙂 I’ll keep all of my metatarsals in prime working order.
Thanks Britni! Hope your doing better!
