Nike Free. Allowing the foot to behave the way it should.
|Just remember, Nike, one of the largest shoe companies on the planet, started minimalist shoes in 2005. That’s 11 years ago. Now, they may have led the running industry in the completely opposite and incorrect direction with the Nike Air Max back in the day, but they have since figured it out. Our foot needs to behave the way it was intended to – free. The foot should adapt to the ground, flex, bend and pronate to absorb motion. Healthy feet don’t need orthotics or motion control.
Here’s a great video from Nike with athletes demonstrating how our feet SHOULD behave when being active.

But the heel aspect of the Nike sole still projects too far rearward. This has an unfavorable effect on the mechanics of heel strike. But for Nike, it’s finally a big step in the right direction.
