Role of foot orthoses for patellofemoral pain | Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t

Will orthotics fix your knee pain? Probably not.  When they do help it most likely comes from changing the way you are running, not a true biomechanical “correction”  as we once thought.

Foot orthoses designed to control foot pronation are thought to prevent tibial and femoral internal rotation and thereby reduce patellofemoral pain.
