Runner’s World Guide to Running Your First Marathon.

Getting ready to train for your first marathon this spring?  Here’s a guide from Runner’s World that goes over some details and strategies for marathon training.  I followed the Hal Higdon training programs when I first started running marathons and over the past several years have resorted to my own method of training.  If you’ve never ran one before, I would suggest following a program until you understand “how much” running is really necessary.  Also, with your first, I would not advise any speed workouts or interval training.  Just stick to running lots of miles and avoiding injury.  Click the link below for a Runner’s World Guide to training.
