|Scott Jurek is currently attempting to become the fastest person to ever complete the Appalachian Trail. The current record stands at 46 days, 11 hours, and 20 minutesby Jennifer Pharr Davis. Jurek is aiming at 42 days where he will arrive at the trail’s end at Mount Katahdin in Maine by July 7—a journey that would shatter the current record.
