The Noxgear Tracer360 Visibility Vest for Running

Hi Everybody!

I am Nick’s wife Julie.  I am typically the one reading everyone else’s blog about running gear, clothing, home decor,  and anything educational that would better me as a first grade teacher.  So, now I’m on the writing side of the blog world, and I really think you should keep reading to learn more about this product.

Nick was sent the Noxgear Tracer360 Visibility Vest.  He surprised me with it-he actually wanted me to blog about it.    You see, I am one of the crazy runners, who gets up at 5:00 am in the morning year round, and either run on my own, with Nick, or with any of my running buddies who are available at that time in the morning!  I typically get up, have one quick cup of coffee, and I’m out the door. And yes, I do run in the winter. Temps do get bitterly cold in Northeast Ohio, and the snow deep at times. I still go for a run. It’s for my sanity and I need a daily dose of fresh air.

In the 5:00 am hour, it is dark.  Let me tell you, it is really dark out.  I ALWAYS wear a headlamp, and a reflective vest.  Reflective vests are good to wear, but cars almost need to get right up on you with car lights to finally see you.  People are still sleeping, or texting, or not even paying attention while they are driving at this time. I’ve had to jump out of the way many times, even when wearing a reflective vest and light, and I know plenty of you out there have had scary things happen to you!

The Noxgear Tracer360 Visibility Vest is different!  You are completely lit up and glowing. Cars can actually see you from a good distance away.  It is basically like a glow stick that traces the outline of your upper torso. This is a MUST HAVE if you are a runner or biker who exercises during the dark hours.  In fact, anyone walking (even walking the dog) in neighborhoods/streets should have this gear!

It’s really easy to use.  It does take batteries, and in fact, it comes with a first set for you to use immediately.  Simply pull the plastic piece out, and push the power button. From there, you can choose your glow color settings, and if you like a flashing glow, that is an option.  I myself, prefer a constant glowing blue or pink. There is an adjustable chest strap that clicks around your chest. I am 5’4, 115 poundish, and this adjusted to my size.  Nick was sent the Size Medium/Large, but if I were to order one for myself, a Small would work best for my frame. You pull two of the glowing tubes up around your shoulders like you would a vest.  Then the bottom two tubes curve around and hang down by your waist. I struggle with strappy kind of gear, but there is a clear label that says left side, and you know you have to put that strap on the left for it to all align to your body properly, so I didn’t have any trouble at all.  Since I run in winter gear, I also tried it on wearing my full winter running top and jacket, and I was able to adjust it around the bulk of the extra fabric and layers.

I would highly recommend the Tracer360 Visibility Vest for ANYONE who is a night time sport enthusiast. This will help you stay safe while running in the dark.  You can purchase this for $54.95. It is worth it. This would be a great birthday gift, or Christmas gift if you are looking to buy something for a friend or family member.

NIck would tell you, that I am very picky, and am the biggest critic of everything I own.  So this ranks at the top of my gear list! Click the link below to get one for yourself or a friend.

On a side note…..I do have to tell a story about a time when I was driving to meet my running buddies for a morning run.  It was early, and I was driving in part of our neighborhood that isn’t well lit. As I was driving, something glowing caught my eye. It was large, and I saw the traced outline of a body glowing blue.  I thought in my head, “what in the world is that?” Then I got closer, and saw the runner. He was with a guy who was running shirtless, and I wouldn’t have seen him if it wasn’t for the guy in the Tracer360.  This thing works!

Enjoy! Happy Running!
Julie
